Keeping Smiles Strong & Healthy
Listen, we know you have a ton of things going on in your life with work and family, and your teeth shouldn’t be just another thing for you to worry about. Wouldn’t it be great if you just knew that they were taken care of? With our preventive dentistry services, that’s exactly what we can do for you. We can give you a beautiful smile and peace of mind at the same time. With these basic treatments, Dr. Danny Nguyen and Dr. Cindy Hua can give you a set of teeth you never have to think about until it’s time to show them off.
Dental Checkups and Teeth Cleanings
Two checkups and cleanings each year are all our team needs to keep your teeth clean and healthy from January to December!
When you come to see us, a normal visit will start with a dental cleaning. For this procedure, one of our hygienists will use special tools to clear away plaque and tartar that has built up on your teeth. You’d be amazed at how much you miss even if you brush and floss your teeth every day! These cleanings are essential for targeting the areas in your mouth that you simply can’t reach at home.
Afterward, Dr. Nguyen or Dr. Hua will perform an oral exam where they’ll look for signs of tooth decay, gum disease, and many other dental issues. This will give them the chance to catch these problems early so they can treat them before they can cause you real problems. From this exam, they’ll come up with a treatment plan that will be specifically aimed at addressing any issues you might have.
Children’s Dentistry
You just want to make sure your child’s smile is going to be OK, and we perfectly understand that. Many of us are parents ourselves! At Eco Dental, we’re happy to treat your most precious smiles and give them a strong start on the path to sustained oral health. We’ll use a gentle touch to perform basic services like cleanings and exams, and we’ll take all the time your child needs to make sure they are perfectly comfortable during their entire visit.
Dental Sealants
A little extra protection never hurt, right? That’s exactly what dental sealants provide. A clear, thin layer of a composite resin is applied to the teeth (most of the time, only the back teeth) to protect them from the accumulation of plaque and bacteria. It’s perfect for children who are still learning to brush their teeth or adults who are more prone to developing tooth decay and cavities. The treatment takes minutes to apply and can easily last for years!

Nightguards for Bruxism
Do you ever wake up with a sore jaw, or do your teeth just seem worn down? This may be because of bruxism, a condition where a person unconsciously clenches their jaw and grinds their teeth at night. As you can imagine, it’s hard to treat something that happens while you’re asleep! Fortunately, we can offer you a simple solution with something called a nightguard. This is a small, custom-made mouthpiece that you would wear to bed every night, and it provides a protective layer between your teeth so they’ll look and feel great in the morning.
Oral Cancer Screening
This year alone, nearly 50,000 people will be diagnosed with oral cancer, and many of them will succumb to the disease within 5 years. Why? Most of the time, a person only notices problems stemming from oral cancer after it has become quite advanced, which usually means it’s too late for successful treatment to be applied. The best thing to do is to catch the disease early, which is why we will perform an oral cancer screening at every checkup. We’ll perform a visual exam as well as use something called digital palpitation to identify anything in your mouth, gums, throat, or neck that could signal the disease. If we find anything, we can help you get treatment immediately.
Fluoride Treatment
When it comes to preventing cavities, fluoride is simply a gift from nature. When you consume it (whether in food or water), it actually replenishes the minerals in your teeth that have been stripped away by plaque. This is why we’ll include a fluoride treatment at your standard checkup. You’ll just rinse your mouth with a concentrated fluoride solution, and your teeth will instantly have another layer of protection from cavities.
Toothpastes/Mouthwashes
Most likely, you’ll only see us twice a year, so what should you do to take care of your teeth between visits? Of course, you should brush and floss, but which products should you use? There are literally hundreds on store shelves! Fortunately, we actually have plenty of these products right in our office, many of them from trusted brands such as Colgate, Listerine, Sensodyne, and Prevedent. Whether you need a simple fluoride toothpaste or something a little stronger, we can give you the exact product that you need to make sure your next checkup is nice and easy.
When was the last time you saw your dentist? If it’s been more than 6 months, be sure to contact us for an appointment so we can make sure your smile looks and feels great year round!
